We cover all types of sit-down jet skis (also known as Personal
Watercraft, PW and PWC) including Sea Doo, Yamaha and Kawasaki. The
protection we offer is extensive – insuring both your jet-ski and
your liabilities to other people, including passengers.
Why do I need Jet Ski Insurance?
While there is no requirement by law for jet ski riders to have
jet ski insurance, incidents involving jet skis occur frequently
and it is therefore a good idea to get adequate cover. Many jet ski
owners therefore opt for jet ski insurance as a useful form of
protection.
Theft – As jet skis and personal watercraft are high value
items, they are very attractive to thieves. Thieves have been known
to steal jet skis from trailers in under 2 minutes.
Stolenboats.org.uk alone lists details of some 350 personal
watercraft since 2005.
It’s considered ”extreme” – Due to the high speeds often
involved with jet skiing and similar water sports, they generally
are not covered by standard boat
insurance. Personal watercraft insurance is a separate policy
designed to protect you and your jet ski should you suffer any
injury, loss or damage.
