London hosts Motor Boat of the Year Awards
The marine industry celebrated the achievements of the
last 12 months at the Motor Boat of the Year Awards, held at The
Savoy Hotel in London.
A panel of judges, which included experts from Motor Boat and
Yachting and Motor Boat Monthly magazines, handed out the awards on
the night.
The winner of the award for best starter boat was the
Quicksilver Activ 645, while the Riva Iseo was named best
performance and superboat. The Botnia Targa 32 won the accalaide of
best wheelhouse and walkaround.
The awards for best sportscruiser went to the Windy 31 Zonda in
the up to 45ft category, and the Princess V52 in the over 45ft
category.
The accolades of best flybridge went to the Prestige 500 in the
up to 55ft category and the Sunseker Manhattan 63 in the over 55ft
category.
Whether starting out or taking on a new challenge in boating it
is important, whatever vessel you have, to maintain comprehensive
boat insurance.
Essex Boatyards received the Garmin Outstanding Service Award
voted for by members of the public, while David King, chairman and
founder of Princess Yachts, was the recipient of the Judges'
special award.
