How to claim
Fast and fair claims
Normal cruising limits are for UK coastal waters. If your craft
is suitable we can extend your cruising range accordingly.
How to Claim
Because we manage our claims in-house and work alongside a
nationwide network of repairers, we’re confident we can keep your
stress levels low if you need to make a claim. A member of our
claims team will keep you informed every step of the way and if
needs be, one of our specialist surveyors will add support.
We’re keen to quickly put you back in the position you were
before the loss or damage occurred. So how can you help us provide
a fast and fair claims service? If you need to make a claim, please
endeavour to do the following, it will help the claims process;
At the scene
- Take the names and addresses of other parties involved,
together with witnesses
- Take photographs if you can
- Make no admission of liability
- As soon as possible, report the incident to us – you can do
this in a number of ways:
If completing a claim form, please include the following
information;
- Full details of the incident
- Police and crime number for all losses involving theft /
vandalism
- A written estimate for repairs or speak to us about
recommending a repairer
If the craft is in storage pending repairs, be aware of storage
charges. We will only pay reasonable costs.
It may be necessary for us to appoint a specialist surveyor, in
which case the costs will be met by your insurer.
If we are able to make a settlement of the claim without
referring to your insurer, we will be acting on behalf of the
insurer.
