No but if you leave items unattended in your car they must be locked out of sight in the boot or locked in a glove compartment. Leaving items on display or hidden under a coat on the back seat will only attract the attention of thieves.
Our policy is designed specifically for the needs of members of HM Forces. We have over 60 years' experience in providing special answers to your special needs. If we just insured you when you were unable to find cover for a period when you were most at risk our other clients would be subsidising you. If we were to charge an inflated rate for this period then ultimately it would be better to insure all of your possessions permanently. We don't even need to know about an unaccompanied posting.
No, all you have to do is show the full value of the items you own under each section. There is no need to insure personal items like watches and jewellery twice. The total value of all of the sections you select should then represent the total value of all of your contents and possessions.

We are available from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, however if you have a more urgent claim, we have an out of hours emergency service available too.
Simply call us using the phone number in your policy documents and you will be talked through the details of the claim. You will be advised you of the next steps and guided you through the process right through to settlement.
In line with our service pledge, we will act within 24 hours of being notified of your claim and within five days if you provide us with new information on an existing claim, to ensure that your claim is settled as quickly as possible.
Most importantly of all, when your claim is settled we will ensure speedy payment by BACS straight in to your bank account or to the supplier.
