Land Cruiser sales rise by 77%
Japanese auto manufacturer Toyota has announced that
year-on-year sales of its Land Cruiser and Land Cruiser V8 models
rose by 77% and 120% respectively.
Land Cruiser sales have now reached more than six million units
since its launch 60 years ago.
The off-road vehicle is retailed in more than 140 territories
and produced in nine factories in five countries.
In the UK, the four-wheel-drive vehicle comes with three grades,
and uses a 3.0-litre D-4D diesel engine and five-speed automatic
transmission.
It is equipped with handling and safety technologies including
Multi-Terrain Select system, Crawl Control and Multi-Terrain
Monitors.
The Land Cruiser V8 runs on a 4.5 litre D-4D engine providing
282bhp through a six-speed automatic transmission, and offers
functions like Active height Control and Adaptive Variable
Suspension.
