The high-end residential property market in Greece is seeing a significant rise in enquiries from investors, research has shown.

A report by real estate agency for luxury properties, Engel & Völkers, found that demand rose significantly during the winter months.

According to the report, the majority of the potential buyers are from Germany, England, France and Italy and are looking to buy a second home.

Georg Petras, licence partner at Engel & Völkers on the island of Rhodes, said: "We are witnessing a rise once again in the demand for second homes on the Greek islands."

The findings of the report reveal there has been no decline in prices for exclusive properties in Greece.

Mr Petras added: "Now is a good time to acquire a property on Rhodes, as we are not expecting prices to fall any further."
