Claims process - Adventurous Training, R&R, Sports Tours,
Group Travel and Winter Sports Insurance
Making a claim
Before submitting a claim you should check that the section you
wish to make a claim against is covered. The extent of cover will
have been selected by your exercise/tour leader before your trip
commences.
Medical Emergency/Rescue is covered as standard, while some of
the other sections are optional.
1. Medical Emergency/Rescue
You must first contact the CEGA Assistance helpline. CEGA is one
of the UK’s leading companies in this field, handling over 20,000
medical emergencies each year. Their dedicated telephone and fax
numbers will be clearly displayed on both the policy documents and
covering email
2. Non Emergency Medical, Cancellation/Curtailment, Personal
Baggage/Money, Personal Accident and Personal Liability
It is likely that most claims of this nature will not be
submitted until you return from your trip or, in the case of
cancellation, before you were due to depart. The contact details
are again displayed on the policy document and covering email
3. Group Kit and Equipment/Group Money
Unlike many other insurers, Towergate Insurance maintains an
experienced internal claims team who fully appreciate the realities
of service life. Group Kit and Equipment Claims will be handled by
this team and this can only help in bringing a speedy resolution to
your claim. Contact us on our direct claims line on 0116
240 7778. Alternatively, you can email us at Insurance.servicefunds@towergate.co.uk
or fax us on 0116 240 7702.
For the claims process to be initiated on any claims system, you
will need to provide as much relevant information as you can,
including your policy number, for your claim to be progressed
quickly and fairly.
Please do not hesitate to call the claims team for advice – we
are here to help you through the process as much as we can.
