Range Rovers and luxury 4x4s in general have a bit of an image problem for some, so they won’t necessarily appeal to all your clients. That said, for comfort, space and sheer presence, a Range Rover is ideal. At the top end of the range, they can be quite expensive. However, they are a worthwhile investment when you consider those clients who need to travel with others, e.g. family members or business associates.

Bentley Mulsanne and Flying Spur

Getting to the upper end of the spectrum, Bentleys ooze class and sophistication. What’s more, they offer a spacious comfortable ride and will certainly allow your clients to make an entrance – though not quite in the same way as a Range Rover would! Bentleys are also a great car for weddings and other special occasions.

Rolls Royce Phantom

Arguably the king of all luxury cars, the Phantom is the gold standard car for your clients. Naturally, as it’s such an expensive vehicle, it’s not ideal if you’re just starting out as a chauffeur. If you’ve got an established client base, however, or you’re looking to expand into a high end market, a Phantom may be the car for you.

Mercedes V-Class

Yes, it’s effectively a minibus but a Mercedes V-Class is actually quite luxurious on the inside and is ideal for taking your clients and their luggage to the airport along with their families, friends and associates. Ok, it’s not what you’d roll up to the red carpet in but it is practical and still carries the kudos of the Mercedes badge.

Mercedes Benz C-Class and S-Class

Mercedes cars have been the luxury car of choice for many, for decades. Famous - and indeed, infamous - people across the globe own Mercedes and travel around in them. As a chauffeur, you’ll want to attract a wider client base than just celebrities. The S-Class and C-Class are excellent choices from a business point of view because mid-range models are less costly than, say, a Bentley but are still luxurious.

Other luxury saloon cars for chauffeurs

Mercedes may be the most popular option for chauffeur companies, but there are other similar options from companies such as Audi and BMW. The Audi A8 and the BMW 7 Series are both excellent options at around the same price and with similar luxury features.
