FAQ
Here are some of the questions we are often asked about
motorhome insurance. If you can't find the answer
to your question, please call us on 0844 892 1413
and talk to our helpful, expert team.
What am I likely to receive if my motorhome is damaged beyond
repair?
Where your motorhome is not recovered following a theft, or is
beyond economical repair, we will pay you the market value of your
motorhome, including accessories and spare parts at the time they
are lost, stolen or damaged.
In the first year of registration for a new motorhome, if it is
stolen and not recovered or damaged beyond economic repair, we will
replace it with a new one of the same make, model and
specification
Am I covered to travel abroad?
This policy provides the cover described in the schedule within
the UK. Your policy also provides the minimum cover you need by law
to use your motorhome in any country that is a member of the
European Union for up to 186 days. If you want to extend your cover
for more than 186 days you must contact us before you travel. If
you plan to travel to any country which is not a member of the
European Union, please notify us at least three weeks before you
leave as you may require a Green Card, which will be supplied free
of charge if we agree to extend your cover.
Do I have breakdown cover?
Currently our policy does not offer any breakdown cover.
How much will I have to pay as an excess if I have to
claim?
The excess you pay is variable depending on what you are
claiming for and whether you have chosen to take a voluntary excess
or not. The standard excess for accidental damage, fire or theft is
£150. However, if you have chosen to take a voluntary excess, you
will also have to pay this in the event of a claim. If you are
claiming for personal belongings, you will have to pay an excess of
£25 and any windscreen claims are subject to a £60 excess.
