Cover for your jet ski when transporting it.
Enjoy your experience knowing you are covered if you cause injury or damage.
Cover tailored to your lifestyle and needs
RJP Marine's jet ski insurance covers accidents on water; fire damage; theft; personal liability (for damage or injury you cause to others); and damage through malicious acts.
Legal expenses (for recovering uninsured losses and paying compensation) are usually covered within this policy.
You can get worldwide cover if you’re a UK citizen and your jet ski is registered here, giving you peace of mind wherever you are.
We are the longest established personal watercraft insurance scheme in the UK.
RYA courses – If you have completed the PWC courses with the RYA, we’ll give you a discount on your insurance policy to reward your freshly gained expertise.
Use Smart Water – If you mark your equipment with a Smart Water kit purchase using your unique Towergate code, you can receive a further 10% discount.
Excess – Though there is a standard excess of £300 applicable for the majority of claims on our jet ski policy, in most cases you are able to choose a lower or higher excess depending on your personal preference. A higher excess may decrease the overall premium and a lower excess may increase the premium but will of course mean less to pay out if you need to claim.
You do not need a licence to jet ski in the UK. Likewise, there is no legal requirement to have jet ski insurance in place if you head out on the water in the UK. Though not a requirement, there are many reasons why taking up insurance could benefit you.
If you fancy hitching up a trailer and taking your jet ski to sunny Europe then you’re in luck. Policy cover provides 30 days of cover at any one time for PWCs on European shores. Just make sure you check your policy wording for exclusions before you travel.
Yes, we cover your jet ski in transit too. We suggest you are extra careful when transporting your jet ski from A-B. Their value can make them quite desirable to thieves and so there are extra precautions we ask you to take whilst transporting your jet ski. Please ensure that when left unattended that a hitch lock or a wheel clamp is fitted to the trailer to prevent theft.
To make sure a trailer is secure whilst carrying your jet ski, we ask you to ensure that a wheel clamp, and a hardened steel chain or multi-strand stainless steel wire cable, is fitted to the trailer whilst it is unattended. Not only does it help to deter theft of your jet ski and trailer, it also means your insurance will l be valid if the craft is stolen.
Anyone under the age of 21 needs to be agreed by us on a case by case basis. This is usually dependent on age, experience and relevant qualifications, such as the Personal Watercraft Course (PWC). Please call us if you wish to insure anyone in this age group to ensure that we have all the details.
Provided you have no more than two people being towed at a time, we can cover a number of different water toys and types of water skier; you just need to let us know to add the cover for you. We cannot cover toys such as banana boats and air chairs for towing, or hydrofoil-type devices. Please see your policy wording for a full list of exclusions.
