About DSLR insurance

Flexible cover for your DSLR and photographic equipment

Our DSLR camera insurance is adaptable to the various risks you encounter depending on how you use your equipment.

DSLR camera insurance while you are travelling

Our DSLR insurance policies include the option to cover your camera and equipment when travelling, for up to 45 days in any one trip. Just check the country you're travelling to is included in your policy, or ring us to make 100% sure.

New for old DSLR camera equipment cover

As standard we insure your DSLR equipment on a new for old basis, meaning if you lose or damage your camera, lenses or other accessories beyond repair, they can be replaced with a brand-new equivalent model. Make sure you provide us with the ‘as new now’ values of your DSLR or related equipment when obtaining your quote with us, so you are covered for the right amount if a replacement if needed.

Cover for DSLR equipment stored in vehicles

To ensure peace of mind when you are out and about with your camera, all our policies cover your DSLR and accompanying equipment whilst stored in a vehicle. Just note the security requirements required if your equipment is worth more than £5,000 in total - check your policy wording for details or get in touch with us to confirm.

When you need to make a claim, we'll guide you through the process and get your claim settled as quickly as possible.

  • Find your insurance documents and make sure you have all your information at hand, including your policy number.
  • Call the claims team on 01489 770 325 and explain exactly what happened.
  • Provide photos if requested to help us understand what happened as quickly as we can.
