Features of Hypnotherapy Insurance

Standard cover

Free legal helpline for hypnotherapists

As well as covering successful compensation claims against you, our policies can also cover you for the defence costs of an unsuccessful claim, including loss of earnings. If you suspect a claim is being raised against you, we have partnered with a 24-hour helpline service which can provide you with instant impartial advice.

Comprehensive hypnotherapists liability insurance

Professional indemnity forms a vital part of our liability package, which also includes public liability, products liability and libel and slander cover. With our product for hypnotherapists, you can be sure that your business is covered against a multitude of legal-related risks.

Compensation claims covered

Your hypnotherapists policy provides cover for compensation and legal defence costs in the event of claims for professional negligence, breach of confidentiality and/or injury to clients or members of the public.

Employer's liability cover

Do you have employees? Whatever your profession, employer’s liability insurance is a legal requirement if you employ staff or have volunteers, and is designed to cover your legal liability to employees if they are injured at work or become ill as a result of the work they do for you. We can include this cover in addition to your hypnotherapists’ insurance any time you take on an employee.

Hypnotherapy Insurance FAQs

Question

Does it matter how many clients I see within a period of time?

Answer

No, we do not need to know how many clients you will be seeing throughout the policy year.

Question

Do you need to see my qualifications?

Answer

We do not need to see a copy of these. We will insure you on utmost good faith If a claim was made against you this may be when we would need to see evidence of this.

Question

Do you cover qualification by long distance learning courses?

Answer

Yes, we do not specify how much experience you have in the area or where you studied.

Question

Is there an age limit on who I can work with as a hypnotherapist?

Answer

No, we do not specify an age limit for your clients.

Question

Can I work overseas as a hypnotherapist?

Answer

Yes we can provide cover for you to work outside of the UK, as long as you live and are based in the UK and do not have any assets in the country you would like to work in - for example, a house. As it is a UK policy, if a claim were made for work carried out in another country, we would need to bring the claim through the UK legal system. If you had a house in that country for example, monies would be claimed from your assets to protect the claim.

Question

Will your hypnotherapists' insurance policy cover me to work from home?

Answer

We provide cover for you to work from home automatically within the policy; however, we need to make you aware that damage to property in your home arising from business activity would be covered by a home insurance policy, providing your insurers have been advised that you are working from home.

Question

Can I pay for my hypnotherapists' insurance policy in instalments?

Answer

If you would prefer to spread the cost of your policy you have the option of setting up a Direct Debit to pay your premium in equal monthly instalments through our preferred provider, Premium Credit Limited (PCL).

To find out more about PCL and direct debit payments, select Direct Debit.

To understand more about how PCL work together with Towergate, please read our Regulatory Information.
