Dinghy Insurance FAQs

Question

What security do I need to cover my trailer?

Answer

To make sure a trailer is secure whilst carrying your dinghy, we ask you to ensure that a wheel clamp or hitch lock is fitted to the trailer whilst it is unattended. Not only does it help to deter theft of your dinghy and trailer, it also means your insurance will l be valid if the craft is stolen.

Question

I would like legal expenses cover. How do I do this?

Answer

Legal Expenses cover is available as an optional additional product that you can choose to add to your policy. This cover can be added when taking out your cover online or alternatively, contact us and speak to an advisor to add it to your policy.

Question

I only use my dinghy at my sailing club, and I don't race. What cover is best for me?

Answer

We offer three levels of cover for dinghies. There's insurance for “cruising UK inland and coastal waters”, “racing at club level” and “racing at club level plus open meetings national and European”.
