If you check through your e-mails from around the time you renewed or set your insurance policy up, you should have received confirmation from your current provider that cover is in place, there may be documents available within the correspondence provided as attachments. It may be that you need to log into a secure portal to check the details of your current broker and insurance provider.
If the vehicles are individually insured, they will be earning no claims bonus by the maximum number of years you can build decided by individual insurers. If the vehicles are on a fleet policy, they won’t be earning no claims bonus as they are not rated against a vehicle individually. Instead, the insurer will rate on the claims experience spread across the fleet of vehicles over the insurance period insured.
On this type of policy, the vehicles are individually insured and therefore will be earning no claims bonus for each year the specific vehicle has been claim free for decided by the individual insurers. This is not a fleet policy.
No, we can quote without this as you can only obtain your ‘proof’ of no claims bonus once the current policy has expired. However, if you have received your renewal invitation from your current provider, the number of years should be included within your invitation and this would be beneficial for us to know. If you are not sure, contact your current insurance provider who will be able to provide evidence of your current no claims bonus to date.
You will need to request a copy of your current and up to date fleet/claims experience from your insurance provider. You may already have this available within your renewal invitation, if not, you may need to call or e-mail your insurers to request a copy.
Normally, insurers will only provide the previous 3 years of claims experience (depending on how long you have been with your previous insurer). You may also need to request a copy of your up-to-date claims listing. However, we will be able to advise you once we have seen your fleet/claims experience.
Of course, we can provide a quotation on a commercial mini fleet product where the vehicles would then become ‘Fleet Rated’. This can be beneficial as this would mean that all vehicles would be covered under one policy umbrella, now have one common renewal date and could potentially receive a spread block discount.
In order for us to offer a quotation, the vehicles will need to be either registered to the company name or to the registered director(s).
Our quotations are valid for 30 days so we would recommend that you contact us within 30 days of your upcoming renewal date.
