If your bed and breakfast guest suffers an accident on your property, and it’s linked to their stay, we will cover for up to £2m for third party claims.
We can cover your guests’ possessions up to a value of £1,000 in any one insured period, with a maximum of £1,000 in a year. This means you can make multiple claims but is capped at £1,000 until you renew your policy. This covers most luggage items including phones, laptops, jewellery and cosmetics. However, we are unable to cover your guest’s personal cash.
Our policy insures you for up to £100 per week for up to eight weeks to help your business tick along while repairs are made for escape of water and fire insured events.
If your bed and breakfast property is your main residence and it becomes uninhabitable our policy can help towards covering the cost of getting you comfortable and safe.
You can add homecare emergency cover to your policy which gives you access to a 24-hour helpline and a network of reliable UK tradespeople.
For unrelated guests that stay in your property at no charge you would not need this extra cover. Always check the terms of your current home insurance to confirm if it covers your requirements.
This particular policy is limited to ten guests staying in five rooms. Unfortunately, this policy does not cover six people in six rooms or anything over ten people in your B&B at any one time. If you require more cover for more guests or rooms, please still get in touch and we’ll source you a more suitable policy.
Our B&B insurance policy does include loss of income but only in the case of an insured peril such as escape of water or fire. If a guest stays with you but refuses to pay, we are unable to pay out for this circumstance.
