About Mike

Mike is a respected senior industry professional and Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) with well over 40 years’ varied experience in the commercial insurance sector as a director, underwriter, and operational improvement manager.

He works across the whole spectrum of insurance product and policy development and delivery for commercial clients, including product development; PBAs; policy wording writing; QA for technical and conduct content; risk management; complaint and E&O handling guidance; NPS; and sign off for conduct and technical content. He also provides training for the CII and on general insurance, as well training and implementation of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) handbook.

Mike currently works at Towergate as Operational Improvement Manager for the SME insurance division. Towergate is the UK’s leading independent insurance broking platform and forms part of the Ardonagh Group, an international network of over 100 offices and 6,000 people which incorporates leading brands in both Lloyd’s of London and global markets.

He has previously been a Commercial Director for Donald Duncan (Insurance Brokers) and also worked at Cornhill Insurance as a Senior Inspector.
