Emergency help for support when you need it the most. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The helpline will help you locate the nearest facility should you fall unwell and associated expenses such as a need for surgical or medical treatment. Cover for if another person on your trip is required to travel with you for medical reasons. This does not apply to any routine non-emergency tests or treatment. Please also be aware, an excess may apply to this section of cover.
Over 65s travel insurance includes cover for your personal belongings so if they were to be lost or stolen you’d be compensated. If you’re unfortunate enough to find yourself in this situation, make sure you report any stolen possessions to the local police within 24 hours. We’ll also cover up to £100 for any essential items such as toiletries and a change of clothing in the meantime – make sure you keep the receipts to support your claim. Just remember costs associated with mobile phones aren't included.
We recognise that no two medical conditions are the same and health conditions they can affect people differently. We therefore work with the team at Travel Insurance Facilities (TIF) and Union Reiseversicherung (URV), who are experts trained to provide comprehensive and confidential medical screening on a case by case basis. We may be able to provide cover even if you've had treatment for a heart condition, a stroke or high blood pressure, a breathing condition or any type of cancer or diabetes. You just need to speak with experts at TIF, who will be able to confirm whether or not we can provide cover for you.
If you need to cut your trip short, due to an illness or injury, then you’ll be able to submit a claim for unused transport, accommodation and additional travel expenses that you have paid for using your money, although there is no cover for air miles or flying vouchers where there is no face value.

This policy is administered by Travel Insurance Facilities (TIF) and Union Reiseversicherung AG (URV). TIF have a specialist travel claims team, so it's the friendly team at TIF you'll speak to if you need to make a claim.
They’ll talk you through the details of your claim and advise you of the next steps in the process. If you’re claiming for any stolen property, make sure you have reported your loss to the Police and have obtained a written report and reference number - this will help with your claim.
We would also recommend you share your policy details with your next of kin, just in case they need to act on your behalf should you fall ill and you’re unable to make any contact with our claims team.

Yes. It’s really important to declare any pre-existing or reoccurring medical conditions. Use the online quote system or speak to an experienced member of the team to guide you through a quick medical screening process.
Report it to the police as soon as possible and ensure this is within 24 hours of discovery, making sure you get a written report and crime reference number. If however some of your items are lost or are damaged during transit then retain your luggage tags and report it to the airline/rail company right away. If you find your luggage is delayed for more than 12 hours on your outward journey then you may need to purchase some essential items such as toiletries and a change of clothes – just keep your receipts and you’ll be able to submit a claim for up to £100.
