There is so much to see and do in the New Forest and many caravan destinations to choose from.

Many families come time and time again and it is easy to see why, with walking, bike and horse riding, as well as Peppa Pig World close by. In addition to all that, the coast provides some beautiful beaches for sandcastles and watersports, as well as the inland waters.

Take a trip to find theme parks, such as Blackgang Chine, the Zoo, the Owl and Monkey Haven or scale the trees at Goodleaf Tree Climbing.

For families with children young and old, there is much to do in Cornwall, and Newquay boasts many attractions, including the Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium, the Crealy Great Adventure Park and Cornish Birds of Prey.

5. Suffolk's Sunrise Coast

On the Sunrise Coast you can really make the most of your day. With fantastic seaside towns, including Aldeburgh and Southwold - film location for CBeebies' Grandpa in my Pocket, your family will spend hours combing the sand and stones for shells and treasure.

While in Lowestoft you'll find Pleasurewood Hills theme park, the Africa Alive wildlife attraction or Pet's Corner where you can meet monkeys, meerkats and more!

With a great range of caravan sites, for adrenaline junkies of all calibres, there is a raft of activities in the Brecon Beacons.

Try Canoeing, kayaking, gorge walking or fishing on the water. Or for a slightly drier activity there's quad biking, high level ropes, or simply walking or cycling.

2. Peak District, Derbyshire

2. Sandringham, Norfolk

One of the Royal family's chosen places to relax and unwind, Sandringham is a wonderful retreat in beautiful surroundings.

There is even a touring caravan park tucked away within the Royal Estate from where you can easily pitch up and enjoy the house, gardens and museum at your leisure.

Whitby is a part of the Heritage Coast and it's stunning maze of alleyways, narrow streets and the Church of St Mary inspired Bram Stoker to write his classic, world famous book, Dracula.

And Yorkshireman, Captain James Cook set sail from Whitby to become the famous 18th century adventurer and explorer.

4. Cotswolds, Gloucestershire

An area of outstanding natural beauty, the gentle hillsides, river valleys, and water meadows give way to beautiful villages made up of stunning limestone properties and perfectly English gardens.

5. Lake District, Cumbria
