Dog Friendly Caravan Parks

Caravan sites that allow dogs can be hard to come by so we've put together a list of some great dog friendly caravan parks for your next holiday

Waterfoot Park - Ullswater, Cumbria

Waterfoot Park is set deep in the heart of the Lake District, a stone throws away from Ullswater, the second largest lake in the English Lake District. It boasts a picturesque mountain setting within Ullswater Valley, often compared for its beauty to Lake Lucerne in Switzerland. The park itself is an award-winning site with excellent facilities including; reception, shop, café, bar, play area, table tennis and badminton. It’s a short walk to Pooley Bridge, where you will find dog friendly pubs among restaurants and shops. There are spectacular walking routes that four-legged friends will love and the views do not disappoint. This includes a 20-mile route around the lake if you are a seasoned walker or looking for a challenge.

Rudding Holiday Park - Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Placed just outside the beautiful spa town of Harrogate, Rudding Holiday Park isn’t just a caravan site, it’s a resort. The park's facilities include a heated outdoor pool, spa, cinema, family pub, restaurant, games room and perhaps most importantly, a dedicated dog exercise area. Not to mention the two golf courses, driving range and golf academy. Harrogate has an array of beautiful parks and gardens, as well as exclusive shopping. Should you decide to set up at Rudding, you’ll also find yourself on the doorstep of the unspoilt Yorkshire Dales which offer fantastic hill walks with some stunning landscapes.

Ross Park Caravan Park - Newton Abbott, Devon

This award-winning park is perfect for those looking to take a step back, relax and escape everyday life. You can have a coffee or catch up on some reading in the park’s tropical plant conservatory and in the evening enjoy a meal at their restaurant or have a drink at the bar. Torquay and Paignton are a short drive to the east and there are stunning countryside walks in Dartmoor National Park to the west. Their dog exercise field is one of the best in the country with a 4-acre cherry orchard for them to explore and make friends off lead. Whilst on their lead they are also welcomed to wander through the park’s conservation area, which covers at least two thirds of their 32-acre site.

Broadhembury Caravan and Camping Park - Ashford, Kent

Offering both family and an adult only areas, Broadhembury has something for everyone. Open all year round and located in the Kent countryside, it is an ideal spot to pitch up and explore the area including three nearby dog friendly beaches. They also offer lots of helpful information regarding dog friendly cafés and local pubs as well as dog friendly walks. If your dog needs to stretch its legs whilst on site, they also have a dedicated exercise area just for them. They have everything you need to make your stay is comfortable and although they don’t have an onsite restaurant or bar, their superb location means there are plenty of options not too far away.

Poston Mill Country Holiday Park - Hereford, Herefordshire

Poston Mill is a rural park set in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside. Surrounded by rolling green hills and nine miles from the nearest town, the site offers a peaceful tranquillity. Set on the banks of the babbling river Dore, the park offers everything you need to relax away from the hustle and bustle. There is a 10-acre field where the dogs can run free and if they get too muddy, there are great washing facilities designed for dogs. The site itself offers a golf course, play area, indoor pool and snooker, shop and a restaurant. If you are looking to stretch your legs and explore, there are plenty of fantastic walking routes around the Herefordshire countryside.
