Specialist cover in five minutes from as little as £97.69 per year
Cover to work anywhere in the world (as long as you are UK based)
Offering specialist therapist advice whenever you may need it
Includes public liability and product liability
Our chiropodist and podiatrist insurance cover includes public liability, professional indemnity and libel and slander cover, as well as product liability which can protect you if a client is injured or becomes ill as a result of something you have recommended to them.
Our policies cover you to work anywhere in the world as long as you and your business are UK based. We also include cover for telephone and internet calls through services such as Skype, so you are covered to help your patients wherever they are.
There’s a legal helpline available 24 hours a day for individual policy holders. Should you be concerned about legal aspects relating to yourself or your business, you can talk things through with a professional to understand your legal stance in the situation. For non-legal matters, there is also a health and well being helpline; just check your policy documents for the contact number.
We can tailor your cover to suit your needs and offer a range of additions you can make to your policy. These optional extras include a training extension and employers' liability so you can ensure you are covered as your business grows.
We do offer loss of income and business interruption insurance as well as various other business insurances but not as part of this package. If you require any of these covers we can provide them via our business department, one of our advisers will be able to help you with this.
As every profession is open to different risks and claims for unforeseeable events, it's not possible for us to safely recommend any level of cover. However, we can offer full flexibility on your policy, meaning that if you need to raise or lower the level of cover at any time we can accommodate this easily.
You may want to consider run-off cover, to protect you against any subsequent claims made against you for work done whilst you were practising. Our advisers will be able to set this up for you at the end of your policy.
Depending on what you are studying and if you are practicing you may want to protect yourself against claims. As everyone's situation is different and claims are unforeseeable we can't advise either way, but would suggest that even though liability and indemnity insurances are not legal requirements, you should not leave yourself open to a civil liability claim against you.
Our policies cover you to work anywhere in the world, including from your home. However, you may be required to update your home insurance policy to account for any business activity. We can provide specialist home insurance or advise you of your options.
This policy is designed to cover the practitioner, not a business or property. If you require these extra covers we can provide a business or home insurance policy, which will offer the relevant cover for your stock, cash, premises etc.
Yes, we can provide insurance for foot health practitioners for both sole traders and limited companies.
When you need to make a claim, we’ll guide you through the process and get your claim settled as quickly as possible.
