Bespoke cover for your holiday home in Spain.
From city apartments to rural farm house conversions to seaside villas, Towergate holiday home insurance can cover all kinds of properties, all over Spain.
If your Spanish holiday home rental property becomes damaged to the point that guests can no longer inhabit it, you may be able to claim back what you would have earned during that period. However, please do let us know if you intend to rent out your Spanish holiday home.
Our Spanish holiday home insurance policy provides you with cover against accidents to property, caused by unintended and sudden incidents. These incidents are reviewed on a case by case basis.
In the event that an emergency strikes at your holiday home while you are in the UK, we may pay up to £300 in travel expenses for you and a family member and an additional sum towards alternative accommodation costs.
We have a 24 hour claims helpline, so you can report your claim as soon as it happens.
Once reported, the team aim to call you back within 24 hours. However, please note that if you report your claim at the weekend we aim to call back on the following Monday.
Photographs of any damage may help us to move your claim along more quickly so please take a few photos if you can. You can email these across to householdclaims@towergate.co.uk.

Trying to find the ideal spot to buy a holiday home can be tricky but there are still some prime locations that will make you want to jet off right away. We've selected four sunny hotspots: Spain, France, Portugal and Cyprus - each with their own unique draws.
We understand that due to the Covid-19 outbreak you may be unable to visit your property. Read our FAQs for this situation.
For most customers, your policy will be unchanged after the end of the Brexit transition period on 1 January 2021.
No, this kind of policy is available for holiday homes in: Bulgaria, France, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Southern Cyprus, and the UK.
If you use the property for holidays or holiday lets only, then it is likely that your property will be classed as a holiday home. If you have a property which you visit more often, say for work or to visit nearby relatives, then it may be considered a second home for insurance purposes. See our second home insurance page for more information.
Even if your Spanish property does not fit the definition of a holiday home, our underwriting team can assess your unique circumstances and may be able to provide a tailored policy for you. Your property may be eligible for second home insurance - but if not, we may still be able to find you an appropriate cover. Please call the team to discuss your situation.
Unfortunately, emergencies do happen. If an issue occurs and you must travel to your holiday home, we may pay up to £300 in travel expenses for you and a family member to travel to the property, plus a sum towards alternative accommodation.
If your property in Spain is damaged due to a natural catastrophe such as a flood, earthquake or a volcanic eruption, or a man-made catastrophe such as terrorism or rioting, you may be covered for the cost of material damage.
