Severe damage caused by an insured peril may prevent the restaurant from opening and trade may be interrupted, thus causing a fall in income/turnover. Despite not opening for business, you will still have a number of business overheads e.g. wages, bills, mortgage, rent, bank loans, insurance premium and rates. Business interruption is an important part of your cover and contributes towards these continuing overheads. Please ensure the period of cover provided by your insurance after the date of loss, is of sufficient length to allow for you to return fully to the same level of trading as before the loss. This cover is available for up 36 months.
If you have employees, you are legally required to have employers' liability insurance and we can add this dependent based on the number of employees you have. In addition we offer public liability insurance, so if someone were to slip or trip on your premises and negligence on the part of the restaurant was found to be the cause, the policy would cover your legal defence and compensation required too.
If there's a problem in the kitchen and the food you serve leads to illness or injury, a claim may be made against the restaurant. The policy can cover you for your legal defence costs and awards will be paid to the customer if they win the case. Products liability for restaurants can also cover any foods or merchandise you sell for customers to use at home.
Insure your restaurant's furniture, kitchen equipment, till systems and more on a new for old basis. Cover is scalable depending on the actual replacement values you need to insure. Choose your own cover limit to ensure you are correctly insured.
If and when it comes to the crunch and you need to make a claim, we'll send the details of your claim to the insurer to get your claim resolved as quickly as possible.
If there are any complications with your claim, we’ll follow this up with the insurer and keep you updated with the progress of your claim.

For more information just talk through your circumstance with the team and they will aim to source the cover that fits.
