What does static caravan insurance cover?
If your static caravan is in a flood risk area you might find other insurance providers can't cover it or will exclude flood cover. We aim to find you cover and will never exclude flood from a static caravan policy. For the most part we offer a zero excess on this cover too but please be aware in some high risk areas we may need to add an excess to the policy.
When you claim, you’ll get every penny from your final settlement. The only exception is in the (unlikely) event of ground movement (Landslip, heave or subsidence) where we have a £500 excess.
The winters can be cruel to static caravans. That’s why we offer water and frost damage cover with, you guessed it, zero excess. We only ask one thing – please either turn off the water at the mains (you probably do this any way), fully drain down your caravan or keep the heating on at 15 degrees whilst you’re not there.
When you take out insurance with us we’ll ask you about your ‘sums insured’ this will include the value of the leisure home itself and your contents. Simply let us know the value of cover you require and we’ll adjust your premium so that you don’t pay for any more than you need.
These are just some of the key features and exclusions, full details will be found in your policy wording. Show policy documents

Insuring a static caravan on a new for old basis ensures you will receive a brand new, equivalent model if an insured peril causes damage beyond repair. Towergate can insure static caravans up to 30 years old on a new for old basis.
Static caravan insurance can protect you in three main ways:
1. Public liability, often required by holiday parks
2. Damage caused by various risks such as storm, fire and accidental damage, depending on the level cover you choose
3. Extras like contents, decking, verandas and outdoor furniture For a static caravan insurance quote, contact Towergate Insurance to run through your options.
Most companies will give you the option to insure your static caravan’s contents along with the caravan itself. Make sure you look into what you keep in your caravan and consider the value you will need insured. You may also have the option to insure your contents on a new for old or a market value basis. If you choose new for old cover for the caravan’s contents you should consider how much it will cost to replace your items as new.
