Our standard policy covers you for all the basics you would expect from your insurance, but after that you can tailor your policy to suit your individual needs. Build your cover based on what you want; so if you like to tow your trailer tent or folding caravan in Europe, you can extend your cover to include European Towing.
Storm damage is one of the most common claims on trailer tent insurance, so it’s good to know when those rain clouds start gathering overhead that our policy provides cover for damage. This will include damage from weather such as strong winds, lightning and hail stones.
Accidents can happen, so our trailer tent and folding caravan policy is designed to cover mishaps too, with accidental damage cover whilst towing including as standard, if you accidentally bump yours the policy will cover repairs, excluding damage to tyres by punctures, cuts, bursts or braking. Want to upgrade your cover to protect you whilst pitched-up as well as when towing, no problem! It’s important to remember that like most insurance policies, our cover does not include wear and tear or mechanical breakdown but with a little care and maintenance you can usually avoid these kinds of repairs.
Our policy allows you to build your own cover, so you will only pay for what you need. Unlike many other ‘one size fits all’ policies, our flexible cover means if you don’t need it, you don’t have to include it.
We are on hand from 9am-5pm weekdays to assist you with the process of making your claim.
You can get started here by downloading the claims form.
It’s helpful for the team to check photographs of damage so they can assess the next steps to getting you back on the road. Make sure you take a few and send them to us.

The UK’s eating out sector is set to grow 2.2% in 2016 to a value of £56.3 billion by 2019 and no one is capitalising on that growth more than street food sellers and mobile catering companies. It’s estimated that street food is eaten by some 2.5 billion people each day, worldwide.
insurance guide
Feeling like you could do with help understanding trailer tent insurance? Our guide can point you in the right direction. Read on to get to grips with what it all means and find out how to get the most out of your insurance.
Whilst left unattended you'll be required to protect your trailer tent with a security device. There are a few options to help secure your trailer:
-Wheel clamp
-Hitch-lock
You will need to have one of these as a minimum requirement but the better protected your trailer the less likely your holiday will be interrupted through theft. Don’t forget your trailer is also at risk when you’re not on the road, so it’s important to keep it stored securely.
An excess is the first amount you would pay towards your claim. Our trailer tent insurance policy has a fixed excess of £75. You can choose to protect your excess which means should you need to make a claim your excess is insured and you will not have to pay towards the claim. This cover is limited to £250 of excess per year.
There are several locations where our insurance can cover your trailer tent whilst stored. If you choose to store it at your home then in your garden, on your driveway or in your garage are all suitable but you cannot store your trailer tent on a public road as your insurance will no longer be valid if it gets stolen. If you store it on a site, we have some requirements the site must meet so it is deemed secure enough. We ask that parks and caravan storage sites have locked gates. It's often worth speaking with the team to ensure we can help.
We can cover; touring caravans, Airstreams, pop-ups, folding campers, trailer tents and 5th wheelers, just ask our helpful caravan team. We can also cover horse trailers under our horse trailer insurance policy.
