Makeup artist insurance FAQs

We cover standard makeup application, as well as semi-permanent makeup, micro-blading and eyelash extensions. The main thing we’re not able to cover currently is permanent makeup application.

You must hold the relevant certificates and qualifications for all professional treatments undertaken.

Full details of the policy terms and conditions are available on request. It is important to read your policy documents.

Yes, we can cover a wide range of beauty therapy treatments. Simply let us know what treatments you provide and we can let you know if they can be covered under this policy or not. To give you an example, we cover body massage, spray tanning, nail technicians, waxing and facial care – so there’s a wide scope available.

These aspects are excluded from our makeup artist insurance:

  • Any work for which you are not qualified and do not hold the relevant certificates for the treatments you carry out
  • Not adhering to the treatment liability conditions of the policy, or following the policy precautions and conditions relating to the treatments you carry out
  • Employers liability
  • Work in hazardous trades or locations, or offshore
  • Loss or damage to any property owned, or loaned, leased, hired or rented to you
  • Damage to any property held in trust or your custody

If you prefer to spread the cost of your annual premium, we offer a quick and easy Direct Debit scheme.

When you choose to pay premiums in instalments, you will be paying under a Premium Finance plan. We will give you full details of the finance provider, and the additional cost of finance, when we provide you with your payment plan quotation. This will include the total payable, the number of monthly instalments and the cost of each, as well as the representative APR.

If you would like to know more about our monthly payment option, please visit our dedicated Direct Debit page.
