I provide gel acrylic manicures and pedicures; will you cover this?

Yes, we include cover for gel acrylic manicures and pedicures as part of this policy.

Do I need a certain level of qualification?

In order to be eligible to claim under our policy, you must be qualified to at least a NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in the treatments you are providing. In addition to this;

  • You have previous experience in the area you are developing
  • You have performed a patch test on your clients where applicable
  • Your tutor must hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and one level higher than those they are demonstrating to
  • Your tutor must hold an assessors award
  • There is an examination/assessment on the course
  • The policy has no previous losses relating to treatments
I do additional beauty therapy treatments, not just nails. Can you cover me for these?

Yes, we can cover a wide range of beauty therapy treatments, including facial and skin care, makeup application, eyelash extensions, spray tanning, waxing and body massage. Talk to us about all the treatments you offer and we can let you know if there are any we're not able to cover under our policy.

What level of cover do I need?

Our advice is always to take out the maximum level of cover you can reasonably afford. We provide a range of indemnity limits upon referral but £5 million in indemnity as standard.

Can I pay in instalments?

If you would prefer to spread the cost of your policy, you may have the option of setting up a direct debit to pay your premium in equal monthly instalments through our preferred provider, Premium Credit Limited (PCL). Please note that this is only available on our salon policies and not to individuals.
