This covers you against claims such as slips, falls, food poisoning and personal injuries while your clients are in the care of your suppliers, such as accommodation providers and/or transportation services.

This includes being an ABTA Partner Plus recommended by the ABTA board; business partners of the Coach Tourism Association; and the only tour operator insurance broker with a preferred business relationship with IAGTO.
When you need to make a claim, we'll guide you through the process and get your claim settled as quickly as possible.
As a tour operator you are responsible for yourself, your business, your clients and the general public, and should something happen to someone during your trip you could be held responsible as it was organised by you.
New regulations mean that it is more important than ever to ensure you and your business are protected from claims. As of 1 July 2018, rules protecting package holidays organised by tour operators extend to cover customers who book other forms of combined travel, such as, flight plus hotel, or hotel plus car rental put together as a deal on a website. These types of bookings are viewed as a package and protected as such. These regulations mean that traders will be made explicitly liable for booking errors in relation to packages, organisers are required to assist travellers in difficulty, as well as a number of other new regulations.
In a crisis situation, such as a death or kidnapping, when you need immediate expert help, the policy offers 24-hour support and can arrange for attendance in resort by lawyers, expert consultants and adjusters. We are also able to offer crisis PR support and have engaged a specialist travel PR firm who will assist in providing a clear and accurate picture of the situation whilst ensuring that negative coverage is kept to a minimum and a good reputation is maintained.
Towergate are in a Government steering group for tour operators insurance and are therefore aware of the latest regulations and public information so we can help tailor your policies to ensure you are covered. Our preferred status means we can help you access attractive rates.
Each claimant will receive a dedicated claims handler to assist them throughout their claim. To meet the demands for claims management we operate to rigorous service levels and our department in Byfleet is part of the wider Towergate claims team, nominated for four awards in 2016. As part of this larger team we can increase our handling capacity at short notice during surge events, such as the volcanic ash cloud in 2011.
