New regulations mean that it is more important than ever to ensure you and your business are protected from claims. As of 1 July 2018, rules protecting package holidays organised by tour operators will extend to cover customers who book other forms of combined travel, such as, flight plus hotel, or hotel plus car rental put together as a deal on a website. These types of bookings will be viewed as a package and protected as such. These regulations will mean that traders will be made explicitly liable for booking errors in relation to packages, organisers will be required to assist travellers in difficulty, as well as a number of other new regulations. For more information on the changes, visit the European Union website.
