Notable exclusions

You are not covered if you do not hold:

  • Accredited training certificates for the non-injectable treatments you wish to perform.
  • UK-accredited training certificates for the injectable treatments you wish to perform and NVQ level 3 or equivalent* beauty qualification with more than 6 months post-qualification advanced beauty** experience.

Or

  • UK Accredited training certificates for the injectable treatments you wish to perform
  • A Level 3 matrix or Access Course

*Equivalent Level 3 NVQ would be VTCT Diploma, A & P Level 3, NARIC translated, City and Guilds

**Advanced beauty includes any treatments which penetrate the skin.

You must have UK accredited training certificates for injectables, and either a NVQ level 3 or equivalent beauty qualification with more than six months of post-qualification advanced beauty experience, or a level 3 matrix or access course completion.

If you have employees, it is a legal requirement for you to have employers' liability insurance in place at the very least. Legally, you are not required to have any other form of insurance in place, however, it is certainly recommended. Cover for aestheticians can provide a safety net to protect you and your business from the financial burden of a claim against you.
